I have been in the community directly for awhile now. I have contributed to dbt-core (just recently), I developed dbt-osmosis as well as some other interesting tooling and data engineering projects. I am one of many self taught developers who has simply never lost the motivation to obsessively consume information. To learn to things and not be afraid to be vulnerable or look dumb; and am willing to speak up for those in the community who need to know that they can do the same thing.
